# Role restrictions

The Verification features of The Cleaner give members roles, to prevent abuse or privilige escalation using The Cleaner, there are restrictions on what roles can be given by The Cleaner.

The role can't be given or taken if ANY of the following is true:

• the role is the @everyone role
• the role is managed by an integration (bot role, server booster, ...)
• the role is above The Cleaner in the role hierarchy
• the role has dangerous permissions

# Dangerous permissions

The following permissions are considered to be "dangerous" by Discord and require 2FA on a 2FA enabled server. The Cleaner is also enforcing this list and not giving or taking any role with the following permissions:

• KICK MEMBERS
• BAN MEMBERS
• ADMINISTRATOR
• MANAGE CHANNELS
• MANAGE SERVER
• MANAGE MESSAGES
• MUTE MEMBERS
• DEAFEN MEMBERS
• MOVE MEMBERS
• MANAGE NICKNAMES
• MANAGE ROLES
• MANAGE WEBHOOKS
• MANAGE EMOJIS AND STICKERS
• MANAGE EVENTS
• MANAGE THREADS
• MODERATE MEMBERS

# Role Hierarchy

The Cleaner can't give roles that are above it in the role hierarchy.
