As usual, we further tweaked The Cleaner in June.

# Challenges

We made some changes to challenges to improve user experience.

# E-Mail

We no longer ask for the E-Mail scope when authorizing.

Originally we used your E-Mail to issue CAPTCHAs on low quality domains, but we've dropped that feature to improve your privacy and because our job is to block bots, not potential alt accounts.

# CAPTCHA alternative

Some users do not want to authorize The Cleaner or bots in general.

To acknowledge these users, we now offer solving a CAPTCHA instead of authorizing to prove you are human.

Note this only works with challenges, not with Super Verification or Join Guard, they will still require you to authorize with Discord due to how the features work.

# Dashboard categories

We added categories to the dashboard sidebar. (we keep adding new components and it was becoming cramped and unorganized)

# Join Guard

A new beta feature enters the battle against bots, Join Guard!

How do users join servers? Using invites of course. Invites have the small issue of letting everyone join your server, bot and humans. Join Guard replaces normal server invites with a special link that will use our existing platform to identify bots from humans.

We have a demo server you can check out here.

Update 12/12/22: Demo shut down.

# Access

A new feature to restrict access to the dashboard.

With Access you can change permissions (manage server or admin/admin/owner only) required to access the dashboard or whitelist users/roles.
